ESTELAB, in its sixth edition, will select 6 feature-length fiction and/or documentary projects in the development phase from Latin America and Europe, with interest and potential for international co-production.

Deadline for project registration: September 25 , 2024 at 11:59 p.m. (Bogotá time)

Before completing the registration form, we recommend that you have a Gmail account, read the details of the rules and prepare the requested pieces. The form does not allow you to save your application and continue it at a different time, you must fill out the form only once.

ESTELAB, in its sixth edition, will select 6 feature film projects from Latin America and Europe

To be registered, all projects must:

  1. Complete the electronic form, which can be found at the following link: https://bit.ly/ESTELAB2024

  2. until 23:59 on 25/09/2024 (BOGOTÁ time).

  3. Attach 1 PDF file in Spanish.

  4. The registration fee for projects will be 20 USD, which must be paid by PAYPAL. If the project is selected, participation in the laboratory will cost 450 USD. This payment must be made within the established deadlines. If payment is not made within the established time, another competing project will be selected.
    The organization, at its final discretion, may award full or partial scholarships.

PDF files should be named as follows:

The document must be less than 10 MB, without exception, and contain the following information in the following order:

1. Cover: Cover art or free design containing the tentative name of the film.

2. Project information: Name, country of origin, estimated duration, genre and category (documentary or fiction), estimated total budget (Blank sheet with the information centered).

3. Short synopsis (maximum one and a half pages)

4. Treatment (between 3 and 10 veneers).

5. Biofilmography of the director (maximum one page)

6. Biofilmography of the producer (maximum one page)

7. Budget summary and provisional financing plan in USD. 

8. Status of the project (At this point, the production strategy that will be carried out for the development of the project, obtaining financing and possible distribution projections must be stated).

9. Project schedule, including estimated dates and development attempts,

pre-production, production, post-production, release and distribution.

10. Motivation of the director in relation to the project and participation in the laboratory (maximum one page).

11. Motivation of the producer to the project and participation in the laboratory (maximum one page).

12. Additional information; support received, commitments made, possible national and/or foreign co-producers. Copies of letters of intent and/or financing agreements and any information they consider relevant to the selection. (maximum three veneers)

*The fifth edition of ESTELAB will be held in a hybrid format. The sessions aimed exclusively at those selected to participate in the laboratory will be held exclusively online synchronously. The public talks will be given in person and online, the online ones will be broadcast on the Laboratory's channels, the recordings will be recorded and will be in the public domain.
